Have you taken part in one of our conservation projects or courses in the past and are just itching to get back to Africa?
Well, here is your chance: 2009-2010 marks ten years of running fabulous conservation projects for African Conservation Experience. We often get emails and letters from past volunteers who reminisce about their wildlife encounters, the things they have learned and the friends they made. We love to hear these stories, and we think lots of people out there would love them too!
So, looking back on ten years, we want you, our former volunteers, to spread the word. What's in it for you? The chance to win a two week placement!
What do you need to do?
Get creative and tell people about your conservation placement. How you do this is completely up to you. You might want to arrange a slide show, give a talk at your school or university, write an article in a magazine, launch an online blog or host an event. Even better - come up with something completely different!
In order to qualify for the competition, you need to send us some documentation of your efforts. The form of documentation of course depends on your activity (i.e. a copy of the article you have published, a link to your blog, some photos of your event, a copy of your slide-show etc). The ACE team will vote on the best ACE campaign, taking into consideration the quality of your information, creativity, likely effectiveness and effort.

Entries must be submitted before 31 December 2010 - so you have all of 2010 to get creative! You can submit your entry by email (ellen@conservationafrica.net ) or by post to:

The prize for the winning entry is a 2 week placement, on a Land Only basis. The placement will not include international flights, travel insurance, vaccinations and spending money. The project choice and dates are subject to availability, but please do tell us your preference when you submit your entry.

The winner will be required to keep a video diary of their prize placement, which ACE will have the right to use for marketing purposes. The equipment for this will be provided by ACE.

ACE will not reimburse any expenses that you might incur.

Any information about ACE that you want to use must come from our website and published marketing material - with the exception of your personal experience and photos of course.
