My passion for conservation began in childhood, exploring the outdoors with my family. This curiosity for both nature, the world and our place in it, led me to pursue a BA in Geography. Whilst studying, I explored the relationship between human-driven decisions and their environmental impact. This highlighted the importance of actions that protect and sustain conservation efforts, which drew me towards the mission here at African Conservation Experience.
Through my own adventures, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of ethical travel. Responsible travel isn’t just about visiting awe-inspiring places, it’s about making a real difference. I truly believe that Africa’s ecosystems are globally significant and belong to all of us. Everyone should have the opportunity to contribute to their preservation. That’s why I’m so proud of our work because we provide the possibility to actively support vital conservation efforts.
This role brings everything full circle for me. From our first conversation to the most rewarding part - hearing travellers share stories about their incredible experiences. Each experience becomes another story to share. This could be coming within a few metres of a black rhino whilst on a bush trek or aiding the recovery of a lion by monitoring its heartbeat. This story inspires the next person to embark on their own adventure - maybe even you!
