Reaseheath College has been working in partnership with African Conservation Experience (ACE) for over a decade, in delivering our annual field course to our Higher Education students studying the Animal Sciences.
Having personally overseen the coordination of these field courses with colleagues at ACE for a number of years, I can testify that the service provided by the ground staff both in the UK and in southern Africa is second to none.
ACE's efforts have been instrumental in developing a bespoke programme that befits the requirements of staff and students alike, which boasts a specific focus towards the experiential learning that our students receive. More recently, students have had the opportunity to study the field course for academic credit, and as such the team at ACE have been highly supportive in its design and implementation, but also responsive to student feedback in enhancing the student’s experience.
I am confident that the evolution of our field course is positively reflected in our student satisfaction, and has become central to the overall success of our academic provision.
