African Conservation Experience (ACE) was recommended to us by a friend who had volunteered last year. She was going into veterinary medicine, like Caydence, and highly recommended we contact them. We really appreciated that our conversations with the team of consultants were almost like interviews, in that they put in the time and effort to get to understand us, direct us toward the most suitable experience, and helped us understand what to expect.

When we got to South Africa, everything was smooth, everything! All we had to do was book our flights from the United States, and everything after that was super easy. There was also constant communication, and they answered any and every question quickly.

The effortlessness of travelling in a new country was something we really liked about ACE.

Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre was amazing! It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and was very hands-on working with wildlife we would never get to work with back home. The staff were inspirational, they give so much to the animals, and they always made an effort to include volunteers in special things like animal releases to ensure we felt a part of it. They really wanted their volunteers to experience all of it and understand everything that they do there.

They would also grab anyone who they thought may be interested in veterinary work to observe the procedures that were happening in the centre.

The experience was phenomenal! From fantastic communication, which gave us peace of mind while travelling to a foreign country, to information about credit cards, safety and transport. Dietary requirements were also very important to us, and ACE and Moholoholo made sure that we had nothing to worry about.

I would highly recommend ACE and Moholoholo to people who want to work to help animals.
